Yes indeed, things have gotten pretty stupid in the pot smoking world. High potency strains were most likely developed to help with smuggling. But now that marijuana is being legalized, there is no point in growing pot with this extremely high concentration of THC. In fact, the growers should be going the other way; they should be creating strains of marijuana with lower levels of THC so people can moderate their intake. Smoking pot with this level of THC is like taking shots of Everclear or Bacardi 151, a really bad idea.
